This map was created for the SourceJump.net Bhop Mapping Contest. This map is inspired by N64 video games and that low-resolution goodness! It uses almost exclusively textures I've made myself, which you can download here!
This map was created as a personal project, showcasing different visual effects one could obtain by using "fullbright", basically using every texture as it's full brightness, not compiling light or shadows for the map.
This map is available for download for:
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (R.I.P)
Momentum Mod
Texturing
The first part of the project was creating the textures, I used Aseprite to create said textures. It uses a mix of pixel art and higher royalty free textures from Unsplash that have been smushed down to fit the 32x32 size that N64 textures typically use. I created 150+ textures for all the different needs I would have when creating the map! I made: dirt, bricks, boxes, bridges, fences, foliage, stone, snow, water, waterfalls, trees, mushrooms, doors, metal, stumps, sand and more!
Mapping
This map was created in the Source Engine, using Hammer Editor, Valve's level editor for the Source Engine. It was created over a few months during the pandemic and I am overall very happy with the end result.
Gameplay
Warning: this video shows bunny hopping gameplay which includes fast camera motion and thus might make some viewers motion sick.
